Professional Mediator Accreditation Assessment
This assessment aims to evaluate whether candidate is able to be a mediator. The candidate needs to pass 2 assessments of mediation cases. Each assessment lasts for 2 hours which the time allocation is as follows:

Accredited Professional Mediator Application
|
|
Applicant must fulfill one of the following:
|

i.
|
Completed Basic Professional Mediation Training Certificate Course and Advanced Professional Mediation Training Certificate Course organized by MHJMC or co-organized by MHJMC and obtained relevant certificates, and passed two assessments of simulated mediation cases organized by MHJMC within 3 years upon completion of the course; OR
|

ii.

Completed mediator training course organized by other organizations and approved by MHJMC, obtained the relevant certificate, and passed two assessments of simulated mediation cases organized by MHJMC within 3 years upon completion of the course; OR
|

iii.
|
Has become an accredited mediator of Hong Kong Mediation Centre or Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited, and completed the Mediation Conversion Course organized by MHJMC and obtained relevant certificate.

Applicants shall submit the application (together with the fee listed below) within 1 year upon the results announcement date of the second passed assessment or upon the completion of relevant conversion course. The application will be submitted to the Board of MHJMC for approval. After successfully applied to become an Accredited Professional Mediator, successful applicant is expected to meet minimum CPD requirements in order to be eligible for maintaining their qualification as MHJMC Accredited Mediators.
