With the theme “ Harnessing Mediation to Build a Harmonious Community”, the Mediation Week 2016-Mediation Carnival is jointly organized by Department of Justice and Hong Kong Mediation Centre to introduce diversified mediation services to the community, such as Family Mediation, Peer Mediation and Building Management Mediation, to foster a greater understanding of mediation in general to build a harmonious community. The event is aimed to attract participation from diversified local residents including students, families, new arrivals from the Mainland and ethnic minorities. To this end, it is set to feature a wide range of educational activities such as mediation game booths, mediation talks, mediation live demonstrations, mediation exhibition and free mediation consultation service, hoping to deepen participants’ understanding of mediation as an effective means of dispute resolution and bring mediation into the community.
